Cricket - a charming summer activity

A game played by people of multiple nations, a mix of whom are on this local pitch in Rawtenstall.

I wouldn’t say I am a cricket fan but I do enjoy the pace of the game, the sound of appreciative applause from the crowd and the moment of tension as the umpire makes a decision on LBW. It is also a game that lends itself to being photographed on large format cameras where the shutters are just fast enough to catch the action.

Cricket and large format photography - they set the pace at which I intend to enjoy this summer.
