That festival feeling

We spent a few days at the Kendal Calling festival in the Lake District. A beautiful venue and we even got lucky with the weather.

The energy created at such a gathering is like a drug to some people and I am one of those. I found myself chuckling at the antics of young kids just being ‘young kids’ without a care in the world. I let them set the tone for the weekend.

I took photographs, met engaging and fascinating people and got to spend a few days with my darling wife with barely a thought of the responsibilities of adult life.

Not everyone can go to or might even enjoy a festival environment but I do recommend finding space in your adult life for the ‘childlike’ mindset of putting aside all but the most basic cares. It’s refreshing.
